How Much Does a New Boiler Cost in Preston? (2026 Guide)

If you're searching for the cost of a new boiler in Preston, you'll find numbers all over the internet — most of them from national companies with call centres and salespeople to pay. Here's the honest local picture, from a family firm that's been fitting boilers across Preston for over 30 years.

The short answer

For most Preston homes, a new combi boiler supplied and fitted falls somewhere between £1,800 and £3,000. A straightforward like-for-like swap sits at the lower end. A bigger boiler, a system conversion, or moving the boiler to a different spot pushes it up.

What moves the price

• The boiler itself — a quality mid-range boiler for a 3-bed semi costs less than a high-output model for a large house with two bathrooms.
• Like-for-like or conversion — swapping a combi for a combi is quickest. Converting from a system boiler with tanks to a combi means more pipework and more labour.
• Location — keeping the boiler where it is keeps the cost down. Moving it to the garage or loft adds pipework and time.
• Extras done properly — a system flush, magnetic filter and new controls protect the new boiler and are worth having.

Why fit Baxi?

We're a Baxi Approved Installer, which means we can offer exclusive extended parts and labour warranties on select new Baxi boilers — often longer than you'd get buying the same boiler through a national installer. Baxi has been manufacturing in the UK since 1866 and their boilers are a reliable, sensible choice for Preston homes.

Repair might be the answer

Not every struggling boiler needs replacing. If yours is under ten years old and the fault is a single part, a repair is usually the cheaper route — and we'll tell you straight when that's the case. Read more on our boilers page.
